DevOps Engineer

Summary

Evurge Solutions is seeking an experienced cleared (TS/SCI) DevOps Engineer in Chantilly, VA to be a technical member of a solutions team. Candidate will require little guidance, but love to learn, collaborate, and problem solve. This position requires a mid to senior level of experience, a passion for mission support, and a strong desire to solve hard technical, and data challenges.

As a DevOps Engineer, candidate will have the unique opportunity to develop a continuous integration pipeline to automate and/or scale deployment of capabilities for a program advancing state-of-the-art modeling and prediction capabilities. Candidate will build cloud-based development and deployment environments for use by an agile development team.

The delivery teams are driven to explore new ideas and technology, and care deeply about collaboration, feedback, and iteration. This team follows SAFe agile practices, embrace the Ops ethos (DataOps/DevSecOps/MLOps) to “automate-first”, use modern tech stacks, and constantly challenge each other to grow and improve.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical experience
5 years’ experience in software administration or system administration, with strong knowledge in at least one preferred scripting language such as Bash, Python or GoLang
Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes and other containerization platforms (e.g. OpenShift, ECS, PKS, and Docker)
Proven experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab CI
Proficiency with the git version control system

TS/SCI clearance required

Experience

Experience with provisioning software using tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
Experience with application performance analysis and monitoring (e.g. ELK stack or Splunk)
Experience with microservices architecture and serverless architecture
Experience with AWS infrastructure automation/Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation with a focus on network and cybersecurity
Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment
